i always planned on trying to eat dandelions. i mean, we've got a BAZILLION of them and they're always replenishing themselves so why not, really? when my cousin emailed about her family trying dandelion flower fritters, i was pumped! why not? and why not celebrate father's day with something we'll remember. so, off i went to collect flowers...sorry, i don't have pictures of that, i forgot til i got the flowers inside, but i'm sure you can get the idea. pick the flower tops off. that's it. you might want to be careful to only pick the really nice, fresh, and new looking flowers. (as a side note, of course, THAT day the bazillions of dandelions on our yard were most assuredly NOT flowering. it was TOUGH to find enough to use up the dough and forget the dandelion flower lemonade i planned to serve with the fritters.)
anywho, back to the journey. once the flowers are picked, i washed them. i like the idea of trying to get the bugs off as much as possible.
you're ready to eat!
