I've been starting to plan this year's garden, or at least starting to think about it. I'm reading Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver, and it is making me think about food in new ways. It disturbs me that companies can patent and own plant genes (you'd sort of think God had the patent on those kinds of things), that people can be sued and found guilty for keeping seeds from year to year. So I am looking for heirloom seeds to fill my garden with this year. Seeds that aren't created to grow for one season, and then designed to die. I'd like to find a Saskatchewan distributor -any suggestions?
