Back here I wrote about being excited to reuse some old sheets and make them look nice. I recently came across this tutorial on Design Sponge that takes the idea much further. I love this idea! I haven't tried making fabric flowers like these, but now I'll for sure have to. I like the idea of making old loved bed linens new and yummy and fresh by adding a few embellishments. I made a sleep sack for my daughter a little while ago and didn't have enough of one kind of fabric, so to 'unify' all the different colors and patterns, I used design sponge's idea with the patches. My mom wants me to make her some duvet covers from old sheets for covering her blankets when guests visit; I'll have to add some of these great details to spruce them up.
